José Miguel Júdice has been redesignated by the Portuguese Government for a third term to the Rosters of Arbitrators and Conciliators of the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID), an institution of the World Bank Group based in Washington, D.C. His new term will run until 2032.
As member of both ICSID Rosters since 2011, José Miguel Júdice has served on arbitral tribunals and ad hoc committees in proceedings concerning international investment disputes.
Dário Moura Vicente, Fausto Quadros and Tiago Duarte have also been redesignated, while Filipa Cansado Carvalho has been appointed to the Roster of Conciliators.
The new designation ensures the continued presence of Portugal within one of the leading international institutions dedicated to the resolution of disputes between investors and States and allows José Miguel Júdice to continue serving on ICSID arbitral tribunals and ad hoc committees.
The redesignation also represents recognition of more than two decades of work in the field of international investment arbitration and renews his commitment to ICSID’s mission of promoting the peaceful and specialized resolution of international investment disputes.
